He is co-founder and executive director of CCSI Compliance and Capacity Skills International. He coordinates their diverse team of senior sanctions and strategic trade control professionals, who assist governments and private sector actors around the world to improve implementation and compliance. Enrico Carisch maintains a keen focus on the financial and economic aspects of sanctions regimes. During his appointment by the UN Secretary-General as coordinator and member of UN sanctions expert teams, he has investigated and provided reports for over 100 cases that have enabled Security Council sanctions decisions. He is the author of numerous multilingual manuals on sanctions implementation, the Best Practices Guide for Chairs and Members of UN Sanctions Committees, and numerous other books and reports.
